I know this has been explained to you before, but here it is again.
Atheism is NOT necessarily the belief there is no god or gods, it is the disbelief in theist's god claims. My position, as an atheist, is theists have failed to meet their burden of proof.
Even if evolution were to be disproven tomorrow (it won't be, it's been observed), that would not offer a single shred of evidence that a god or gods were responsible. (Allegedly) 'Poking holes' in evolution, does not get us to 'god did it'.
Quote:As far as living creation coming into existence, EVOLUTION it’s ALL CHANCE mutations, the engine of evolution
Evolution (and abiogenesis) are not purely chance processes. There are physical laws that dictate the way chemistry works that is not chance. There are strict laws that dictate the way biology works that is not chance.
A specific mutation may be chance, but it is acted on by natural SELECTION, which is not chance. Notice the word "selection"?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
