I know it to be true myself.
I've met many victims and I even know more then one victim who went on to become the perpetrator.
Australia is a deeply racist country, mostly emanating from the citizens (who are also quite clueless to the fact that they are racists), but aboriginals are also their own worst enemies.
I'm saying that their fight is on two fronts.
Not an enviable position and certainly not privileged.
I've never met an aboriginal with a wallet full of cash, ever fucking ever.
Also, call an aboriginal 'abo' to their face...if you fucking love hospital food. :-)
Where are u from?
Where I grew up in the Melbourne burbs it was/is very multicultural. I only ever met a few people that were part Aboriginal. They looked like white fellas.
I've never met a person that looks Aboriginal besides some AFL players. Even in prison I never saw an Aboriginal looking person.
This explains a bit. We've got the least, Melbourne is 0.5% and I bet their all white. They wouldn't get discriminated for being Aboriginals if they don't look it i guess.
We were talking about systemic racism which is defined as “the systematic distribution of resources, power and opportunity in our society to the benefit of people who are white and the exclusion of people of color.” In Melbourne that doesn't happen cos there isn't any black Aboriginals.
"Australia is a deeply racist country" Can u please elaborate. Is it the government, the people, how? Which countries are less racist than Australia?
