Having not read the 8 pages of this fictitious argument I'll throw my hat into this poisoned ring.
I'm all for it. I'm not of color. Still all for it. Throw money around. It will lead to economic simulation, inflation and price increases but after the first five or ten years everything will shake out for the better. Poverty will be reduced, small businesses and overall employment will be increased. I live in "the hood" or west Philadelphia (not the college areas, Mantua). People here are poor. They aren't lazy, or stupid or addicts. They are just poor. The charter school, which I work at, isn't a solution either. But if you suddenly gave the residence of this community a million dollars each... yah half would leave and burn it on stupid shit like cars and suits and jewelry. The rest would buy their homes, buy the open lots near them and buy the corner stores. They would revitalize these neighborhoods.
They would likely have to pay more to do it, cause inflation would hit just as they got their money. But they would still invest in their community. The church right next to where I live, gives out food every Wednesday and Thursday. Without them people, on food stamps, or EBT assistance, would be malnourished. You think these people are going to by Mercedes and gold chains? They would buy up every house on the block if they could get the loans.
The irony is the people who will decide whether or not these folks get any money are the kind of people that never spent more than an hour or two in their communities. Usually those hours are in limos and just minutes giving a speech on the sidewalk.
