[Remember]: how the Spanish infedels treated Muslims

RE: [Remember]: how the Spanish infedels treated Muslims
I’m not a cheerleader for Erdogan or Turkey, but apparently the Turkish courts that handed down the ruling authorizing the re-conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque after nearly nine decades of it having been unethically made into a museum, was based on the existence of historical documents which apparently prove that the Ottoman ruler, Sultan Mehmed II, purchased Hagia Sophia from the Christians. Admittedly, the evidence is not solid, but the standard of proof in such cases that are very old, where the historical record is subject to debate, will naturally be lower than in cases of property dispute of modern times. Consider also the fact that Hagia Sophia was a mosque for many centuries. Even if it is conceded that it was originally transformed into a mosque in violation of ethical standards (including Islam’s own standards), the fact that it remained a mosque for many centuries cannot be discounted and brushed off so easily. There is a very minimal Christian presence in the modern-day Republic of Turkey, an overwhelmingly Muslim country. The objections being raised by the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Vatican, and the UNESCO among others to Turkey’s decision appear to be motivated by animosity toward Islam. Why didn’t the Christian Church register its protest while Hagia Sophia was a secular museum. Why are they fine with Hagia Sophia being a museum but not a mosque? The position of UNESCO is even more hypocritical, as it has revealed its fundamental bias in favor of Christendom over Islam, while it is meant to be a non-religious, neutral, international organization. My own position is that if the choice is between Hagia Sophia being a secular museum or a house of worship, then the latter is certainly preferable. It is a more functional purpose for the building that also accords with the wishes of the people of Turkey.
