It's not a matter of feeling entitled to an answer. It's a matter of seeking truth over untruth. Since "the Almighty" has made it so ambiguous whether he really exists or not, that puts many of us into a conundrum. Think about how evil it is that people were stoned to death (or fed to lions?) for the crime of blaspheming false gods.
In order to make the right decisions, it's good to know the facts. God stepping out and revealing his existence would supply vital information to those who wish to do the right thing. So it seems that (if God existed and was good) he might do such a thing. It's puzzling why he hasn't.
