When I was in my early twenties I had a minimum wage job. Then I got a 25 cent increase because the minimum wage went up. A week later I noticed a lot of food prices went up enough to pretty much negate my increase and I figured huh, raising the minimum wage really does cause inflation and unemployment. I eventually learned all the arguments for why it would do that, crystalizing my opinion on the matter. It was only in my fifties that my idea of the consequences of raising the minimum wage started to crack. There ARE undesirable consequences to raising minimum wage, but doing it smartly can minimize those, and overall raising the minimum wage gradually to keep up with inflation is a net boon to the economy.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
