Note: some of these films are technically not horror films, but are, frankly, too horrifying to be grouped into any other genre. I’ve put an asterisk after these films. To compensate, I’ve included some (marked with an xd) that are just plain horror comedy (either intentionally or not.)
- An American Crime *
- Baby of Macon *
- Black Christmas (the original)
- Black Sheep xd
- Blood Feast
- Bubba HoTep xd
- Carnival of Souls
- Color me Blood Red
- Death bed: The Bed That Eats xd
- Donnie Darko
- Hell raiser
- Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
- I Spit on Your Grave
- John Dies at the End xd
- Manos: The Hands of Fate xd
- Plague Dogs *
- Re-Animator
- Repo: The Genetic Opera
- Robot Monster xd
- Society
- Spider Baby
- Suspiria
- Texas Chain Saw Massacre (the original)
- Threads *
- Tideland
- We Need to Talk About Kevin *
- When the Wind Blows *
- Wolf Creek
And, yes, This is the tip of the iceberg with horror movies I could recommend. I figured I may as well start with English-language films (because I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the one-and-a-half-inch barrier that is subtitles are a barrier you legit can’t overcome) and a free streaming service.
Thank you so much especially thinking of accessibility for me. It’s much appreciated. I remember when A Quiet Place came out and I couldn’t watch it because it was a totally visual movie and completely inaccessible to me. A friend recently watched it with me a described the entire movie. I wasn’t scared but that was probably a whole lack of sight but I did enjoy it. And yes Tubi is great!
