It was just a quick question; I didn’t think it warranted its own thread. Just because I know where he lives does not mean I know where he is from, there are British people living in the U.S. you know. I just thought it was interesting he used the British spelling for behavior.
Quote: So, you think god gives us all common grace, but will only give some saving grace?
Yes, His elect.
Quote: How do you know that we are getting more than we deserve? Genesis does not say that we deserved to die because of Adam's folly.
Romans 5 does though.
“Therefore, as one trespass[e] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness[f] leads to justification and life for all men. 19For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. 20Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:18-21 (ESV)
Quote: It says god cursed us because of it. Therefore, the opposite of what you are saying appears to be true, according to the Bible.
Not sure what you are getting at on this one, the curse is man’s death in sin resulting in his corruption.
