AF Hall of Shame (Post Edition)
RE: AF Hall of Shame (Post Edition)
Every forum should have a Kernel.
"Work quickly. And the same applies for doing albums or any project. Just work quickly. You can fix it later if you need to., Work quickly, get it in there and and you know what? Try not to fiddle. If you've got lots of things that you want to do to change it then maybe what you are trying to do is do another project. Don't keep imposing all your fresh ideas on the old work. Do it, finish it, get it done good enough - do it and then: do something else. Don't keep fiddling. I see people get lost regurgitating an album that sounds good! They might play me an album and I say "That's great! Get it out."

Five years later they've regurgitated that same album so much that it's not even the same album anymore and you wonder what went on and what process went on in their heads." - Paul Hartnoll

I don't mind it because I'm generally not bothered by what others believe anyway, so long as they aren't hurting anyone. I think I've made it very clear that I believe going to Heaven is ultimately about what is in a person's heart and the willingness to humble themselves, more so than what religion they are.

Okay, if you say so. I'll stop posting on the matter, nothing useful would come from it anyway.

Couldn't the Holy Spirit fill that role?

Hilarious

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as punishment > crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

You guys are really picking on neo these days, holy crap
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I.. dont really know Neo or what threads he's in or what all he's saying right now. I just know that this thread is open for anyone to repost, and more often than not when a post ends up here--it deserves to be here.

I've also noticed that once someone (not necessarily theists) feels like the forum eye is upon them, they end up compounding their controversies or inflaming their situations. Thats going to draw attention and more reactione from more people than normal posting. It's human behavior, really. I did it once, my head got too big, and I ended up with a temp ban! In hindsight I don't feel I was picked upon though. I feel like you might have the two situations conflated.

Lots of attention does not equate to "being picked upon".

No, we're "picking on" his words. A person has to stand by their words if they mean honest discourse, and then others respond in kind. No need to make this personal.
