If you believe in the God of the Bible, why try to prove it logically?
RE: If you believe in the God of the Bible, why try to prove it logically?
In order for your gods creation to be good, it would have to completely poof out of existence or erase our spiritual memory of this world, which would negate the building of the spirit itself, and the teachings you're supposed to be learning. In any case hell cannot exist for god to be good so why is it such a big thing to be an atheist?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

But there is only the justice we bring ourselves, there is no good evidence for any other kind of justice.

Pain is a function of the nervous system. When you're dead the nerve connections from your sense organs to your brain rot away, and so does the brain itself. So there won't be any pain and therefore there won't be any hell to be tortured in because there won't be any "me" to feel pain in the first place.

Infinite punishment for a finite crime is injustice

Good is love : part of the same concept.

I think if any of this were true we'd be living in a very different world.

Sigh....

The greek word translated to "eternal" was/is "aeonian".
The scripture actually reads as a finite punishment, not eternal.

Don't believe me? Check for yourself.

Natural evil disproves that without freedom there is no love? Please explain.
