Yep. All that gold just sitting there, instead of being used to do things Catholic doctrine supposedly advocates.

Fuck no, let the dead bury the dead and we just take what they leave behind and pile it sky-high.

Huh? Original sin is to be rational and use our conscious mind. That is when we left Eden as knowing good from bad and soon became thinkers. That is all it was, and is the best thing that happened to us.
These are just stories to make is so you can return to your right brain again and then first know who you are.

You are definetly not a catholic. I find very ammusing that Gods reward for us to reason kick us out of Eden and let us die. Some loving god. Hilarious

And if he is, it's not any version of Catholic I've encountered in the States. Especially when I was one....

That's a clever trick.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Why not? They can have babies and walk around. They should have something to do.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
-- Superintendent Chalmers

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.
-- Ned Flanders

Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral.

Hold it please, you are RUSHING TO THE CONCLUSION because he did not say that otherwise you will not die. All he said is that you [consciously] know that you will die, and that already means that the TOK makes reference to the conscious mind in us.

If original sin did not make us conscious we would not consciously know that we will die, and therefore also will have no dream to live because a divided mind is needed to dream.

From here it follows that "it will be an evil age when old men shall have dreams", to say that IF old men have dreams we live in an evil age = not native to man in the image of God

The trick used here was "lexischemi" as one of the 6 original tricks used to lead, or perhaps mislead and deceive humans to do their dirty work for them (and they just harvest the gold, you can say).

So in essence they were 'people ranchers', you can now say, and that is what the shepherd-sheep image was about, and that idea was sold by Eusebius to Constantine back then and the rest is history we can say.

The other 5 tricks used were called homonimity, amphiboly, synthesis, diairesis and prosedy. We know then all as linguistic fallacies today and really all it means is "reader beware" and hence the Imprimatur is needed from the good old Catholic pope, and further, and advisory is issued against reading the bible on your own.

Then I can add that if eternal life belongs to the mythology they would have eminent domain over us, and that surely would be after tax and therefore they are exempt. In other words, they are entitled to the net and therefore all roads lead to Rome.

Obviously required here was that eternal life must be found before they could collect, and that merely is promise made at Baptism, I think, and that would be why only Catholic water will do the trick for them.

And is that still Catholic here?
