Yes, I'm sure there's some placebo effect, but I'm talking about afterwards when the pain returns. Obviously someone receiving "laying on of hands" is not going to remain self-hypnotized forever, and a toothache is a toothache. And also what about instances where a placebo effect doesn't happen?
