It'd be much better if guns were thought of like cars not as a right that one was entitled to but as a privilege one had to demonstrate they had earned. It amazes me that the US gives a person easier access to an item designed solely to kill than they do to a means of transport.

Exactly! Having a drivers license requires training than written and practical testing. why can't we do that with weapons that can murder people?

Las Vegas Police Officer Charged in Death of Man Put in Chokehold

The officer, Kenneth Lopera, faces felony counts of involuntary manslaughter and oppression under the color of office in the death of Tashi Farmer, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said at a news conference. The felony charges each carry a minimum of one year in state prison and a maximum of four years.

Because when you zap a man seven times with a taser and choke him for over a minute it is obvious that what you are doing is fucking "involuntary."

That made me cry. It continues every day, and I fucking hate it! Many cops are good, but we need a better way of weeding out the racist abusing type. Better training and ya, why the hell do they need their guns drawn on this burning man. Dragging him around like garbage. I see why people sing FUCK THE POLICE, and my grandfather was a cop in east LA for decades.

We could abuse and harangue ALL COPS, making the good ones wonder why they're doing this job. That would help get rid of them. Then we'd only have bad cops, and finally have something real to bitch about.

Far too many.  Especially when there are six to eight cops beating the shit out of somebody at the same time.  They seem to devolve into a pack of wild dogs when they put the blue suit on.
