Oddly, I've had the effect myself. I've now posted for so long with the Schönberg Avatar, only interrupted by the equally B/W Peter Sellers one, that I now identify with it to the extent that when I accidentally stumble across the same picture, for example when I do a google search for a Schönberg work, my visceral reaction is as if I somehow unexpectedly saw a picture of myself. Which is kind of freaky, but interesting. It only works with this particular picture of him, too.
