They were everywhere that year. One of my neighbors had an unkept pool, and it seemed to be their hang out.

Not that I have to justify killing a snake, but it was messing with my dog. And no one does that. Wink

Well, you don't have to justify killing a snake, but, I mean, you should if that's what you're going to do. Snakes are so fucking harmless in like 90% of cases. I have no idea why people just kill them. If I said there was a cat in my backyard fucking with my dog so I killed it, people would shit fucking bricks. Nothing personal. I just like snakes.

I've never seen a cat with a poisonous bite that could kill my dog. Water moccasins came from the pool area, and I'm pretty sure that's venomous.

I'm not a big fan of snakes. :/

It may be a primate thing but if you don't want to be the only creature left in the world besides cats and dogs maybe you could find out which ones are actually poisonous and let the others be. I'd love to have snakes in my garden. I've only ever seen one and have always wondered how I could've made it happier (so it would stay).

We get foxes all the time round here. One bloke who lives near us, named Stan, claims not to have slept for about fifty years. Probably an exaggeration but he's always to be seen at all hours of the day and night picking up litter in the neighbourhood and feeding the local cats, who all seem to know him by name. Anyway, I've seen him actually feeding foxes by hand; they will come right up to him. Amazing guy.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
