My mother was bitching and moaning about her geriatric sex life off-frame..I couldn't keep my shit together....also, of course....that's my big boy in the background. I'm looking for a picture of Morrigan that doesn't involve her making obscene gestures at the camera.
Luv Summer......luv.....they all came out like that, I couldn't sell em. Had to drop 700lbs off at the soup kitchen. Pretty sure they threw them away, lol. Never noticed this before..but I think my son might have joined the Hitler youth..imma have to do something about that.
(in all seriousness, fish effluent - I pump it out of the creeks and pools on the edge of my property for the time being. It doesn't burn, so you can get a real gentle curve from flowering till fruiting)

No doubt, I had huge cukes the first summer I grew them at Heather's - I forgot where y'all are at now.

I sold everything I had in Florida (to my little brother...he;s growing bromeliads now where I used to grow starwberries) and moved to NE KY (from C KY). Bought a little piece of a valley with 4 creeks intersecting. All the rednecks think I'm nuts, they can't imagine how they could turn a dime without a tractor. I'll spend the rest of my life terracing it like a ricefield...and if I'm lucky, one of my kids will want it when I die. Strangest shit...the previous owner planted almond trees.......wtf? There isn't a slope on my property less than 30deg and all the flats are below the creeks flood...it's to soft for mech.

Probably trying to catch the health food trend thinking the rain would be better over this direction. What all else you have? I'm confined to a small porch right now - trying to decide if it's worth starting a bunch of lettuce and trying to let it grow inside the house. I'll at least be able to put in tomatoes without them drying out now that I'm not 8 floors up in the wind.

1200 linear feet of raspberries, 3000 linear foot of blackberries, a half acre of 1st year grapes, half acre of first year blueberries (highbush...I brought the swamp north /w me). a 30x60 hoophouse currently set up for seedlings but retrofitting to force asparagus. About two dozen assorted first year apples, pears and peaches. As I mentioned, 2 acres of flooded potatoes. The majority is an adjoining lease on 200 acres that used to be cattle and tobacco, but I'm gonna put it under intensive mixed. That's going to have to wait until next year. The wife is pumping sales for a new csa...knocking on rich peoples doors and whatnot. I'm gonna buy 4 900 gallon rearing tanks for tilapia at some point this year, and I plan to seed the creekbeds with redclaws if time and cash permits. Since we're still in the process of fixing the place up and mending fences I mostly propogated lilliesand furit grafts last year. Leveraged to the hilt...I'm in it to win it or die in a fire at this point.
Should be an exciting year. I took a job through the winter with Nestle to make ends meet and save up a little more capital. As a bonus...my kids are convinced that I work at a chocolate factory. Production management, hot pockets and hot pocket derivatives (yes..there are derivatives)...but they don't need to know that, lol.
You moved out of the high castle?

LOL, meh, you know how it is...the vines do the heavy lifting. I mostly drink whiskey and cheer them on. Cuss at the sky...that sort of thing. I had alot more in the ground before it hit -20 and stayed there this winter..........but the kids got to go sledding alot, so I'm willing to call it a wash.

One of my hort teachers was convinced vines were going to take over the world in the wake of global warming. Dunno how much science was behind it (okay, she had a paper she'd found), but being as she was Carolina born and bred, I just figured she'd slept in kudzu beds all her life and was trying to justify it. Maybe you're just ahead of the trend.

Well....you certainly won't be able to find Atlanta under the Kudzu should the zamby apocalypse ever hit. If they stopped their burn teams 24/7 ops they'd be under it within a year or two. Not that the hogs would mind..but, you know....
(is it strange that, for me...those burn teams approach the level of sacriledge.....really..wouldn;t Atlanta be beautified if it were grown over? Trellis it up over 75, sure....but.. I mean hell, there'd be more shade at the least)

I've love for someone to do the same to Richmond - it would improve the smell.
Charlotte's doing it's damndest to keep the undesireables out and plant the stuff they want. I'm proud to live where they turn spill ways and storm water areas into greenways and train up massive rose bushes and jessamine vines. It's all so civilized until the heat chases the ground crews indoors and the plants take over for a couple months.
