I have a fetlife account and frequently ignore it because the questions and messages I get there range from infinitely more stupid to infinitely more disgusting than I've ever gotten on any other social site. It's as if 98% of the people on there are twice as socially inept and thrice as boorish.
Which is sad, because the Doms I know in meatspace are some of the most well-adjusted, nicest, kindest, and most thoughtful individuals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Well you just named one of the sites I visited (FetLife). But yeah, I wasn't overly fond of the community as a whole. As I said, there was quite a bit of harassment that took place there. I mean, I understand that I look young and all, but that doesn't mean I like to get treated like a child…or a sub.

I think humanity is just filled with filth and any community over a certain size has difficulty chucking the rotten ones out.

I can agree with that, actually. Anywhere you go online, you are bound to find toxicity in the community. Luckily it is easier to filter out the toxic people here than in some places that I have been to.
