But the argument is often made more or less, 'If Jesus wasn't real and Christianity isn't true, why do so many people believe it?'
At any given moment, there are likely a billion or more people in the world who believe - deeply, sincerely, and whole-heartedly - in Father Christmas. Why is it that the 'preponderance of belief' argument works for Jesus, but not for Santa?
