Here's the thing, though: nobody is "simply saying," that fetuses aren't people, as though the pro-choice position is sheer assertion. There's actually a well-understood wealth of information on the development of a fetus, such that we know for a fact that during the time frame in which the great majority of abortions take place, the fetus is little more than a clump of cells without any of the anatomical factors integral to what we would describe as human. No brain, no heart, nothing of the sort.
The ones "simply saying" their case is you and your forced-birth cronies, who have no such scientific or moral basis for your position beyond simple fiat demands that we use emotionally loaded definitions instead of sensible, demonstrably accurate ones.
