Mathilda, since you live in the UK, what have you experienced, or what is your opinion on the migrants coming in the thousands. I've heard horror stories of massive amounts of rapes, robbery, abusing the welfare system, Muslim no go zones where they are implementing their own form of sharia law, the list goes on.
It's all bullshit spread around by Fox news and right wing American politicians. There are no no-go areas. If any sprung up in the UK, everyone would make sure to go there. It's the stubborn British mentality. But it's also part of the British mentality not to endulge in extremism. Hardly any of the Syrians have actually come to Britain compared to other countries, but the UK is a very mixed bag of races anyway because of the Common Wealth and all the countries that were invaded in the past.
Met blasts Donald Trump for 'London police in fear' claim
Quote:London’s Metropolitan police have said Donald Trump “could not be more wrong” when he claimed parts of London were so radicalised that officers feared for their lives.
Quote:The statement continued: “Any candidate for the presidential election in the United States of America is welcome to receive a briefing from the Met police on the reality of policing London.”
As for the EU being on the verge of collapse, that has more to do with the financial crisis that has continued since 2008 and the single currency. Don't forget the Greek bailouts that has been rumbling on for several years now and then remember that it is the one of the PIGS countries (Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain) so this is a massive problem. If there is a British exit from the EU then it's more likely due to apathy and not enough people voting rather than anything else. The Scottish referendum has shown us that people vote for the status quo.
Yes there has been a massive muslim migration into the EU and this has meant that the Schengen treaty has been closed down in parts, but this is temporary. Europe has had massive influxes of immigration in the past and can deal with it.
