Suffering is still a reality, no matter what religion you're into. I guess Christianity just offers one way to make sense of it, to find meaning in it. But I just don't see why we must ascribe meaning to it. Shit happens. No one's behind it, and there is no greater purpose to it. All you can do is pick up the pieces and move on with your life.
