So, that's what courts are for. To hear the whole story and come to a decision. Not knowing the whole story behind this incident, doesn't allow judgment. Least of all from us, who haven't been there or at the hearing and who aren't legal professionals.
Exactly. None of us here know anything about this woman's life other than what the article chose to divulge. And it's an article. We all know fact-checking in today's world just doesn't happen the way it should. If this article was pulled from another source other than a person who was actually at the hearing, then it becomes hear say.
The man could have been handing down any sort of abuse not only to the woman, but to her five children as well. The point is - we don't know. And until there are either court transcripts that have been published (not likely to happen. Transcripts are costly. I should know) or until she steps forward to tell her story, who the fuck are any of us to judge her life and what she did or the sentence she received.
And I'm with Losty on this point - I don't think anyone should be killed. If it's self defense, there had better be a real good reason to claim that.
