Perhaps I have not quite delved into the legalities, but even I know the supreme court is not infallible.
Their fallibility has nothing to do with the interpretation of the 2nd amendment though. What they interpret it as, is what the law / government ultimately accepts as its meaning.
So I take it you agree with me that at this moment in time, the 2nd amendment grants the right for citizens to own guns?
My question remains unanswered, which is what can we do to prevent gun crime without infringing the 2nd amendment.
Note that the Supreme Court had ruled that the 2nd amendment has limits, which is how fully automatic weapons were banned.
