LMFAO..so you think the characters in the books, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, actually wrote their own books? I dont know of one serious bible scholar who would agree with you. The conscensus of BELEIVING bible scholars is that it is unknown who wrote the four gospels, that it was common place to write a book under a famous name to "gather more authority" to your writtings, and that the four gospels show evidences that there was another book, known as the "Q source" that was cross copied onto the other gospels.

As I asked before..is this your first time chatting with atheists?
I mean..I didnt even have to do any studying to flat out prove you an incorrect liar. Lets look at the book of Matthew intry on Wikipedia:
Quote: "Matthew" probably originated in a Jewish-Christian community in Roman Syria towards the end of the 1st century;[1] the anonymous author drew on a number of sources, including the Gospel of Mark, the sayings collection known as the Q source, and material unique to his own community
WHAT?!?!?!? The book of Matthew was written over 70 years AFTER Jesus's crucifixion? You have to be kidding...and they dont know the author? But Rad says the author of the book of Matthew was Matthew. But if that was true then how could he have written it 70 years AFTER the fact, much less why.
But hey, Im just a stupid atheist..Im not like RAD who actually has some knowledge in this field.

Better than Shakespeare?
Thats exactly like the muslims who say the Quran is so poetic.. yet when I read it it sucked the cheesy end of a donkey dick in my opinion.
The bible isnt that much better..in fact as far as a literary work, I would have to give the Newtestament writters "below average" as they had the old testament in front of them, but failed to do their homework and created many contradictions between the new and old, as well as contradictions across new and new.
If Shakespeare wrote like some or ALL of the authors of the bible, then in my opinion we would have never known Shakespeare, as he surely would have never made it big..unless, that is, he could force his literature by sword point... which was the major driving force for the bibles popularity, because it surely didnt catch on popularly in and of itself, thats for sure.
