Can you be a priest in Catholic church yet? Just wondering if the new Pope changed anything like that.. and as for not feeling inferior, well, you have a very blessed life then and I'm happy for you! We women have differing experiences depending upon our placement in this world, would you not agree? I think is what he was referring to.
No, we cannot be priests, but not because we see women as inferior. We believe God assigned a priest's special role of giving spiritual life, to men (performing the sacraments). Just as He assigned the special role of giving physical life, to women (becoming pregnant and giving birth). One is not superior or inferior to the other... just different.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
