lol, out in California, once the locals learnt I was from Texas, you'd hear the slurs start popping out. Me with my twisted sense of humor, I'd let them spit out a few before letting them know I'm a member of an interracial family ... took about 0.3 seconds before their faces were red as my neck.
There are far, far too many people in America who congratulate themselves for being not-racist -- in public -- but once they find what they think is a safe-zone, you look around and you'll find the crosses in one corner next to the 5-gallon can of diesel.
Those are the folks who elected Trump, too.
And FWIW, Bella, whether or not you came up with the thought yourself that calling bigots bigots is what cost Clinton the election, you're still wrong. What cost her the election is that there are a hell of a lot more bigots in America than people thought.
