Speech is an action, so boycott away. He's legally allowed to say that and customers are legally allowed to take their business elsewhere.
Yup. It's pretty stupid as a business owner to upset your customer base and customers have every right to take their business elsewhere where they feel more comfortable, welcomed etc....but I'm still against threatening other customers with backlash for wanting to go to that store if they wanted to.
