At least to me, every day is an infinite tragedy at least to someone, somewhere in the world. Any day I have a good day is a day in spite of the knowledge of that fact. And my ability to have a good day in spite of that is what we call sanity, because the alternative is being depressed daily. Cases like this highlights those tragedies. The way I see it every day is an infinite tragedy because every day someone somewhere experiences the very peak of human suffering. This is the world we live in. A truly tragic world. And I say all this while swigging a beer. To be sane in a world of tragedy, to cope in a world of tragedy, is to compartmentalize. That's the depressing truth.
