So, last night, I was watching Eudoxia's new video about notorious Reddit criminals, and there was one story he refused to cover in detail: the case of family annihilator Farhad Towhid. Before offing his family, he uploaded a 12-page Google Doc suicide not, and one passage close to the end really reminded me of the talk about psych evals for gun owner background checks. Apparently, in Texas as of last year, the psych evals are so shit that it's just a yes/no question on a form. And because of this, here's another thing that should be added to background checks: a scan of the medical records. If they found out that he was diagnosed with depression, and taking meds for it, he probably shouldn't have had a gun, and his family would still be alive now.
