Specifically this reply,
Quote:Yes, eventually they will make contact. Although the attraction is very small, it will cause the objects to accelerate towards each other The formula for determining the attractive force between two objects was determined by Newton and is F= G x m1 x m2/dxd, where F is the force in newtons, G is the gravitational constant, m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects and d is the distance separating them. G = 6.6726 x 10-11N-m2/kg2 Solving for 1 kg objects and 10,000,000,000,000 Meters (~ 1 LY) gives a force of 6.67 x 10^-37N I leave the calculation of the time needed for contact as an exercise for the reader :-)
Ok, now explain why the universe stopped expanding so this could happen? I told you I used the example in a container for a reason. Why are you trying to be a smartass?
BTW, who is Mike Adams and why is his answer "gospel"?
You asked me to provide the mathematics that backed up my assertion that two particles in an otherwise empty universe would eventually be brought together via gravitation, I did so.
How is this being a "smartass"?
No you didn't. The universe is expanding. What you linked to is showing what would happen in a fixed container not an expanding universe. That is how it is being a smartass. Now either show the maths how two Hydrogen atoms will meet in the universe or as I said, this stops here.

No one is saying ANYTHING is "gospel"
Based on what is currently understood is what is being presented here in this thread.....
IF you have any thoughts or information (peer reviewed papers) please present them!!
Otherwise please be tolerant of my limited understanding of the Milky Way Galaxy and how it works according to the models I currently understand! I am very happy to assimilate NEW information and if you have this then please present it!! Give me links so as I can read and hopefully understand.
Huh? I'm talking to Zen or are you posting from his account?
