Why did u join atheist forum?

I have a mental illness which includes chronic depression. One to two years ago, I was terribly depressed and bored and isolating at home. In order to lift my spirits some, I started re-reading the stuff at TalkOrigins.org. Somewhere in that process, I started re-reading papers on philosophy of mind, and stuff at Infidels.org. The Farrell Till stuff led me to TheologyWeb.com, and that led to searching out atheist forums, AFO being first, and rationalia second. As I was starting to enjoy myself, the thought occurred to me that there must be local discussion groups, like at a university. So I googled, and didn't find the university groups, but found MeetUp.com, which provides a structure for people to organize special interest groups in their community. So I signed up. (I'm currently a member of 14 groups, with philosophy, atheism, and humanism being the most active.)
