I ask this because I know that there are many theists who tend to think about God a lot - i.e. God is constantly in their minds
What about you guys, then? I know that as atheists none of you believe in God, but how often or when do you think about His non-existence?
Even the way you word these statements is flawed thinking about the atheist position.
I really get the feeling that Abrahamic theists think that atheists have a tougher time disbelieving in the existence of their god than any other god concept. As if we have no problems dismissing the existence of Ahura Mazda, Akal Purakh, or Brahma, because after all, you have no problems dismissing the existence of those gods either.
In the vast majority of my time throughout the day, the thought of the existence of a god, even the one you think about while, "eating, working, listening to music, walking, sitting, while learning something, before going to sleep, or whatever that they are doing" does not enter my mind.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
