(August 27, 2013 at 6:09 pm)Sword of Christ Wrote: God doesn't have a physical gender but has feminine and masculine natures to his/her character/nature. God isn't a blind random force but a being and we are in the image of this being. This is why we have ability to reason, to think in terms of ethics and morality and so on. If you take science that is derived from our ability to understand the universe in which we live and harness the natural forces of Gods creation. The creation isn't some kind of random collocation of atoms but was formed out of an initial constructive order. We are the intended outcome or effect of this process God set into motion as the first cause or prime mover.
You do realise that you're going to have to support each and every one of these assertions, don't you? Not merely state them as fact without establishing first that they are facts. Otherwise you leave yourself wide open to Hitchens' Razor: "What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
