Because he's one of these hipster activists who hates capitalism and sees the world in black and white so that any nation that isn't capitalist must be good. This is what you get when you tell people to reject the mainstream but never bother teaching them to think for themselves.
At least that's what I'm guessing based on what I've read. Personally, I think he's nuttier than a Snickers.
Don't get me wrong: I think our healthcare system is fucked up and moving away from a for-profit system would be a HUGE benefit to the nation. But North Korea should be one of the last countries we should ever even think about emulating. What's next? We're supposed to be like Iran or Somalia (wait.... the Tea Party already wants us to be like Somalia, so that one isn't too much of a stretch).
