My Rep Awareness

Cinjin, I do not have a rep point from you. Please do NOT give me one. I'll explain.

Ever since the day I joined AF, it has been a wish - nay, a dream - of mine to gain a rep point from your glorious self. I would rush through my meals to check and see if you had bestowed upon me that most cherished of boons - a Cinjin Rep Point. I couldn't sleep. Eventually, I couldn't eat. My work was suffering. Every day....every goddam DAY...that went past without a rep point from Cinjin the Munificent was like a stab in my heart.

'Is it me?' I began to wonder. 'Have I done something to offend the Blessed Bestower of rep points?' I began to comb through all my prior posts, wondering if I should tweak this or that in order to call attention to myself, in the not-altogether forlorn hope that Cinjin the Redeemer would take note of me. Me, a worm in the mud.

Alas, it was not to be. The days turned into weeks, then months. I began to lose weight and to kick the cats more than usual. I developed gout, scurvy, tinnitus, flaky scalp, and a wicked case of jock itch. 'My Cinjin! I cried out. 'Why hast thou forsaken me??'

And the answer came to me. Cinjin the Lamb Of Reps had NOT forsaken me. He was teaching me the valuable lesson the wanting can be more satisfying than having. My health and happiness returned with this revelation. My hair grew back, my gums boils receded, and I began to think about extending our patio.

So please, Cinjin, I beg of you - do not give me a rep point. Pass it on to someone more deserving, someone who hasn't understood the Glory Of Cinjin. Put them on the path, mate. We rely on you.
