Not sure about the intent of this argument. I have seen atheists employ this to lend a sense of "fairness" to other labels. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding.
But I do hate the "you cant disprove a negative". Which is shifting the burden of proof.
Keeping an open mind about future possibilities in science does not mean treating all claims as equal, nor does it mean we let our brains fall out just because humans can string words and sentences together.
But as far as this particular conspiracy "bigfoot" was bullshit even back in the 1970s was peddled on tv. Yeti and Sasquatch are other names for this bullshit.
On the series Cosmos Neil pointed out the independent fear of comets and the superstitions people worldwide came up with throughout time.
Bigfoot exists for one reason only. Someone managed to market their crap and other people fell for it.
