Agreed- my longest/best was with a girl older than me.

I didnt say that everyone else should have girlfriend thats younger. I just said that I could not think to have an older girlfriend.

I would also not want to have a girlfriend that is taller then myself either. Plus that she shouldnt be fat but not too skinny either.

It's interesting though because essentially Giff wants a girlfriend who is inferior. And I mean that in the most non-offensive way possible.

Given the classic perception of relationships where the man provides for the woman, there is also a physical impression of being taller and older that carries over. It almost seems counter-intuitive and odd to see a woman who is much larger or older than her male counterpart.

This kind of thing doesn't only exist in heterosexual relationships. There's a type of anime genre called Yaoi which is basically homosexual animated porn (Shounen-ai would be it's softer counterpart) In almost every case the uke (bottom) is smaller and effeminate while the Semi (top) is more taller and masculine. This happens so much that when I read stories in which there is a gay couple I always imagine the bottom is shorter. In fact it's very difficult for me to imagine he would be taller. We also have a tendency to do the same to lesbians (Butch lesbians, lipstick lesbians) in respect to their gender roles in the relationship.
