Trembling fingers, held back tears
Getting close is so hard for me
But I'll be here if you need me to be

I don't want to see you mad
And I certainly hate to see you sad
But I am fragile, so hug with care
I still have lingering anxieties there

If you need me, I'm but words away
And I will stay if you want me to stay
If you feel you're drowning in the rain
Just tell me how I can ease your pain

I will love you, I will hug you
I'll try anything to help you get through
So if pain or heartache should ensue
Remember, I'll hold you if you need me to
