It's been a really bad week. I finally got a diagnosis for my ailments and it's utterly fucked-up.
But it's the wee small hours of Saturday and I have a bottle of Glenlivet 12 year old single malt and a lead crystal glass to drink it from plus the love and scorn from all my nearest and weirdest on AF.

I'm going to get shit-faced and play along with the solo on Comfortably Numb on my Fender Showmaster Blackout - basswood body and maple neck, all black lacquer finish, with a rosewood fret board, all black hardware, locking tuners, a floating bridge, and two Seymour Duncan pickups, a '59 Reverse Polarity Humbucker in the bridge and a Pearly Gates Plus Humbucker in the neck - pure Fender porn.

Hold your lighters up for me tonight. I could use the support.

"The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions" - Leonardo da Vinci
"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
