Piling up every jot and tittle of the ludicrous heap of Christer BS makes it harder and harder for the apologists to ply their trade.
Sorry man, not trying to be a dick. It's just frustrating to see pages of minutiae which, while somewhat interesting on its own, doesn't actually deal with the actual religious aspect. In other words, none of these details matter to me because they're just distractions from the idea of divinity. Even if Jesus existed, and the basics of his story are true, none of that lends any credence to his purported magic acts and divine nature, which is really at the core of apologetics. And, IMO, getting bogged down in this kind of thing plays into the apologists' hands. It's a distraction aimed to delay and frustrate. Yeah, there may be evidence for the actual history that goes either way, but none of it really matters when the faith is based on a few major things:
1. Triune god
2. Jesus' nature as the son of/part of that god (including his magic powers, his divine birth, etc.)
3. His crucifixion
4. His resurrection
Even if 3 happened, it doesn't somehow strengthen the claims found in 1, 2, and 4. The same goes if 3 didn't happen. And so on, with the smaller details.
At the end of the day, apologists want to convince others that not only did their Superman exist, but that he actually was Superman, with secret origin and powers intact. And no matter their evidence (or lack there of) for the existence of this person, they'll never be able to prove what they claim are the reasons one should devote their life to him.
