It's two things. It puts an ocean between he and Dany. With greyscale he can never be with her. (He never really stood a chance, but now he knows it.)

The second thing is it puts a ticking clock on his quest.

So you don't think he has a chance of being cured, like Stannis Baratheon's daughter? 


Ooh, and what do you guys think of Littlefinger's new plot to become Warden of the North?

Would he really bring Sansa's head on a spike to Cersei if it ever came to it?
