Roman Catholic officials and ratlines

Roman Catholic officials and ratlines
Hello,

I have never had a problem with Pope Ben having Nazi past. He was a child at the time (Fuehrer-Jugend).
----

But now, I'm reading about involvement of high-ranking Roman Catholic officials in ratlines, and it's quite disgusting.

Let's start with escape to Bolivia of Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon.
First some facts about Herr Klaus...

"He established his headquarters at the Hôtel Terminus in Lyon, where he personally tortured prisoners: men, women, and children alike,—breaking extremities, using electroshock, and sexually abusing them (including with dogs), among other methods....
the daughter of a French Resistance leader based in Lyon recounts her father's torture by Barbie – her father was beaten, skinned alive, and his head was immersed in a bucket of ammonia; he died shortly after"

Well, after the war

"allegedly helped him flee to Bolivia with the help of "ratlines" organized by U.S. intelligence services, and Croatian Roman Catholic clergy, including Father Krunoslav Draganović."

This Father was quite a character.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krunoslav_Draganovi%C4%87

"Krunoslav Stjepan Draganović (30 October 1903 – 3 June 1983) was a Croatian Roman Catholic priest associated with the ratlines which aided the escape of Ustaše war criminals from Europe after World War II while he was living and working at the College of St. Jerome in Rome."

Another ratline organizer was

"Alois Hudal (also known as Luigi Hudal; 31 May 1885 – 13 May 1963) was an Austrian titular bishop in the Roman Catholic church, based in Rome. For thirty years, he was the head of the Austrian-German congregation of Santa Maria dell'Anima in Rome and, until 1937, an influential representative of the Austrian Catholic Church."

Is there a film how Roman catholic officials helped Nazis escape?
Is it not interesting for Hollywood?

And then, was Vatican involved directly?
or it was only some rogue priests?

Thank you for the time you spent reading this longish post.
