RE: The positive case for voting Donald Trump for president.

RE: RE: The positive case for voting Donald Trump for president.
I don't want Trump to win FYI, but I think the media has seriously skewed the perception of Trump's voter base. Not Trump, he's actually that insane and ridiculous. But I'm really tired of people being painted as racists or bigots because they're voting Trump. To be honest, it shows a level of a privilege; the privilege of being able to vote against a candidate because you don't like the way they spoke about women, with no regard for how the nominees' platforms will affect blue-collar jobs. Because that's what a vast portion of Trump's voter base is: rural blue-collar workers whose jobs, historically speaking, are not protected by Democratic leadership. Like every Republican nominee in recent memory, Trump appeals to the blue-collar American who has watched so many jobs get shipped overseas. They're the sons and grandsons and great-grandsons of workers in a certain industry and they've watched that same industry that has kept their family employed vanish, and they place the blame on Democratic policy. So of course they're going to vote Trump.

In addition, I think Wikileaks is giving everybody a new reason not to vote for Clinton every week. The emails are a big deal. It is a big deal that somebody working a security job was communicating through an insecure and unauthorized channel; the fact that we can see all of these emails proves that. The leaked emails have proven that the Justice Department had given Clinton a "heads up" on certain things early in their investigation. The leaked emails have proven that Clinton was given prior notice of at least one of the questions in her CNN debate with Bernie Sanders. The leaked Wall Street speeches prove that Clinton told her Wall Street buddies that she would leave fracking alone, something completely antithetical to her campaign platform. The leaked emails, overall, show the American people that we were right about her... she is as crooked and corrupt as they come. And if that doesn't tick you off, at least a little bit, then I don't know what to say.

So in the end, I don't personally blame anybody for supporting Trump. It's a shame that the GOP didn't nominate someone sane, like John Kasich. I'm very much Democrat, but I am also passionate about keeping the government transparent and accountable. If the Republican nominee was Kasich or Rubio or even poor lil' Jeb, I'd have no problem voting for them to make a point. But now, I'm forced to hope Hillary wins something she certainly does not deserve.

I hope I answered the OP with all that.
