So, if you hallucinated, and it was recorded as a natural phenomenon by scientific methods during a sleep study, you would still say "and therefore god". And if it WASN'T natural, of course, you'd say "and therefore god".

Yeah, that's what I think, too.
I funny you say that because i did look into Islam as well, as buddhism, and hippy spiritualism, and found nothing other than what I put into it.
