My point, which you refuse to face, is that we only hear about the incidents in which there is injury or property damage to some 3'd party's property. No one...not even a gun nut...is going to be stupid enough to say to a reporter "I was practicing my quick draw in front of a mirror and shot my mirror." So the extent of the problem of idiots with guns is doubtlessly understated. And yes, my point is that even the most careful or "responsible" person can make a mistake. If you make a mistake with a knife, you may cut your finger. If you make a mistake with a gun, you can kill someone 500 yards away.
