My thoughts on the muslim defense of their prophet and his marriage to a nine year old girl:

If I were a muslim (and of course I never would be because that religion is even worse than christianity - if that's even possible), I wouldn't try to defend the act of having sex with a minor. That's just an impossible debate to win.

Rather, I would merely say, that there is no way to verify when exactly Muhammad first had sexual relations with that girl and I would follow that up with the fact that there is no way to be sure how mature of mind this particular girl was and perhaps even state that people mature mentally at very different rates. After, selling all that bull shit, I would then state that having sex with minors is illegal in today's society and that I personally would never condone such an act, but that Muhammad lived in a different time and we don't fully understand the nature of his relationship with his bride and the societal differences that effected both the minds of adults and children.

Is it bull shit? Of course it is, but at least I wouldn't come across as looking like a filthy pedophile worthy of arrest and prison rape.
