No, I think it's best to embrace them. Even when I was much younger than you I was trying to wrap my head around death, and the idea scared the shit out of me. Thinking about it enough allowed me to find peace with the idea of death, regardless of what lie beyond.

It is normal in the sense that you are not mentally ill, but it isn't normal in the sense that it is a ubiquitous trait among teenagers. My advice is to try and find some friends that do think about such things.
