How can you say "take responsibility for your life"?

You were incapable of having a will at the time. In hindsight you may not want to have been born but you can't say you were born against your will.

Unless you have some kind of genuine mental problem, as a child, socializing and having friends is the easiest thing in the world and it comes completely naturally. I doubt you were forced to play with other children.

Your parents hands are tied there. You have to go to school, its the law. And it equips you with life skills and knowledge so you can function and thrive in the real world, but no, act as if going to school was a bad thing.

Most people like living and if you don't want to live on this planet, you know where the door is. It's not like you are being kept here against your will.

People shouldn't tell me to shut the fuck up and deal with it when I express that I have a problem with my life. I don't even know what kind of response just saying that would get me. It's usually people saying that I am just being a whiny piece of shit.

Well it really depends on what your problem is. You haven't given us any actual examples. And being truthful here, all you have ever done on this forum is complain, so when they call you a whiny piece of shit, I have to agree with them.

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: They might even say to think about how privileged I am. What a condescending and snide thing to think. If you really think you're better than me because you've mastered success in your life, good for you. Leave me alone.

They aren't saying they are better than you. They're saying that you are extremely lucky to be born in the USA, the land of the free, the land of opportunity. You have a roof over your head, food on your table, parents who look after and pay for you, energy, toilets, TV and internet. Most of the 7 billion other people on the planet don't have these things. We all take things for granted but you should consider that you are in-fact, extremely fortunate. Maybe you should go travelling to places like India and Africa. See the slums and how some people live. That's always a humbling experience.

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: What offends me so much is instead of trying to help me fix the problems in my life people just act like they have no fucking empathy for how I feel.

Your problem seems to be with life itself.

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: My own parents just say shit like "well everyone goes through these kinds of days". IS LIFE REALLY SO FUCKING SHITTY THAT EVERYONE FEELS LIKE LIFE IS ABSOLUTE SHIT EVERY DAY!? IS THAT REALLY WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS?

No, they are saying that everybody has bad days but we still survive. And that stewing in a pool of our own sadness and self loathing doesn't help.

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: I have fucking had it with this bullshit. I don't know if I am going to drop out of college. I am falling behind on all my assignments and I left class early because I was being antagonized by kids in the class.

If you talk to them like you talk to us, I wouldn't be surprised.

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: The college fucking classroom that I fucking payed for

*Your parents paid for.

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: that people were giving me a hard time in. I'm so fucking lonely. I want my own place to live, on a campus, in a relaxed environment around other people so I can finally connect with people outside the internet.

But one of your problems is with people. Is there any type of person that you think you could actually get along with?

(October 26, 2014 at 4:26 pm)MusicLovingAtheist Wrote: But no! My parents are too fucking poor to do anything about it. Whenever I say something about how I feel they just say "yeah that must be frustrating". YEAH WHAT'S FRUSTRATING IS YOU WANT ME TO PULL MYSELF UP BY MY FUCKING BOOT STRAPS AND DO ALL THIS FUCKING INSANE SHIT TO GET THROUGH THIS YEAR! FUCK YOU!!!!!

You're complaining of no support but have you ever tried seeing a therapist at all? Obviously the support of friends and family is off the table for you so a professional seems to be the only option here.
