RE: Christians - What would you do if it were discovered Jesus never existed?

Given so many Christians refuse to accept scientific facts like evolution, I don't think it would make any difference to those who are already brainwashed. When the belief is not evidence based in the first place, this probably won't do much.
However, to the newer generations, the huge question mark above Jesus' head may well be a factor in seeing through the nonsense. Even as a lifelong atheist, I had always assumed Jesus must have been a real person who got a bit exaggerated. It was only when I got heavily into these topics a few years ago I discovered my confidence was misplaced and it's far less clear cut.
