So one of the trending news is that in Indonesia there is Mbah Gotho, who is apparently 145 years old and has documents that says he was born in 1870.
Which reminds me of Li-Ching-Yuen and his spirted life story of not only living supposedly 256 years but also being very persistent in getting married since when he finally died he was outlived by his widow that was his 24th wife. I mean I don't know which is more outrageous living 256 years or getting married 24 times! Tell me!!
And yes Li-Ching-Yuen is rather considered a hoax since it's impossible to prove his real date of birth so that serious scientific consensus be satisfied; but should living long like that be such a big deal since modern science says that humans are apparently built to live 200 years but they poison themselves? Which gives more credibility to Li-Ching-Yuen as a herbalist and devotee to healthy life then Mbah Gotho who still smokes.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
